2018 Open Theme Annual

Webster Arts invites art submissions for the 2018 Open Theme Annual, a national juried exhibition. The exhibition runs January 15 – February 28, 2018. All 2D and 3D media are welcome. No floor or ceiling hung installations or video are permitted. Wall pieces must be wired for hanging and no larger than 48" X 48". Free-standing pieces may not exceed 32" X 32" X 60" or weigh more than 50 lbs. All work must be the original conception and execution of the artist. No reproductions or photographs printed on canvas are allowed without prior permission.

Juror Edna Patterson-Petty, an internationally-known fiber and installation artist, will select work for inclusion in the exhibit and for cash prizes. Artists may be selected for solo or 2-3 person shows in the future. The entry fee is $30 for up to three entries. Artists age 18 and older residing in the US or abroad are eligible. Submit up to three JPEG digital images (no smaller than 1920 pixels on the longest side, 72 ppi/dpi resolution, 5 MB maximum file size).

Submission deadline is Monday, December 11, 2017. All artists will be notified by email on Friday, December 22, 2017. Artwork delivery is January 2-5, 2018 during office hours, or shipped by Friday, January 5, 2018. The exhibit opening reception is Thursday, January 18, 2018 from 6-8 p.m. Artwork return and pick-up is March 1-9, 2018. Artists are responsible for shipping costs. All artwork is insured for its declared value from receipt through pick-up by carrier. Webster Arts receives a 30% commission on all exhibition sales.
