2018 LA Artcore 4th Annual Juried Exhibition

LA Artcore is pleased to announce the 4th Annual Juried Exhibition. The July 2018 exhibit will kick off the celebration of LA Artcore's 39 years of supporting contemporary art and developing the careers of visual artists of diverse cultural backgrounds. This competition seeks outstanding work in all media except freestanding sculpture, completed in the last two years.

Approximately 50 juror-selected images will be exhibited at LA Artcore's historic downtown gallery in the Los Angeles Brewery Arts Colony, one of the oldest and largest live-work spaces in the world. Up to ten wall-mounted works not exceeding 50" in width, 72" in height, 24" in depth and 30 lbs. in weight may be entered. Works must be ready to hang with hanging fixtures included. Entry fee is $35.00 for up to 3 entries, with additional entries at $10.00 each up to 10 entries total. The competition is open to all emerging and professional artists over the age of 18 residing in North America. All work must have been completed on or after April 1, 2016, and not previously entered in this competition. LA Artcore staff and Board Members are not eligible.

Awards include: 1st Place $500 plus a solo exhibit at LA Artcore; 2nd Place $250; 3rd Place $100; and 2 Honorable Mentions. The exhibition runs July 1-29, 2018. Entry deadline is May 26, 2018 at 9 p.m. Pacific Standard Time. Online judging begins May 27-June 4, with notification of results on June 6. Delivery of works is June 7-24. The opening reception and announcement of winners is Sunday, July 8 at 4 p.m. Artists are responsible for round-trip shipping and insurance of artworks. 35% of all sales go to LA Artcore while the remaining 65% goes to the exhibiting artist.
