2018 Juried Photography Exhibition

Crooked Tree Arts Center in Petoskey presents the 2018 Juried Photography Exhibition. The juror is Bill Schwab, an accomplished photographer and founder of the annual Photostock Festival and North Light Press. The exhibition is open to residents of Michigan, Ohio, Ontario, Illinois, Indiana, and Wisconsin, as well as Crooked Tree Arts Center members regardless of residency. Applicants must be 18 years or older.

Photographers may submit up to two entries. Submissions must use photographic processes (all photographic techniques are admissible) and must be created by the artist submitting the work. Works must not have been previously exhibited at Crooked Tree Arts Center. The entry fee is $40.00 per artist ($20.00 for CTAC members). Digital submissions must be JPEG format, no smaller than 1920 pixels on the longest side, 72 ppi/dpi resolution, and 5 MB maximum file size. Online entries are accepted July 17 – November 18, 2017. Notification will be sent between November 29 and December 3, 2017.

Four prizes will be awarded: 1st Place $500, 2nd Place $250, 3rd Place $100, and an Alternative Processes Award $250 for works using platinum palladium, cyanotype, gum bichromate, or salt prints. All accepted works must be prepared for installation and labeled on the back with the artist's name and title. All accepted works must be for sale at prices set by the artist (60% to artist, 40% to gallery). Work must be delivered January 6-11, 2018 (closed Sundays). The exhibition opens January 20, 2018 and closes March 24, 2018. Unsold work must be picked up March 27 – April 1, 2018. Work not picked up by April 15, 2018 becomes property of Crooked Tree Arts Center.
