2018 CAC Annual Juried Membership Exhibition

Creative Arts Center of Dallas is accepting submissions for the 2018 Annual Juried Membership Exhibition. CAC members are invited to submit up to three images of original 2D or 3D artworks created within the last two years for consideration. The juried panel will evaluate work in all mediums. Jurors include Mary Tomás (Mary Tomás Gallery), Lily Weiss (Executive Director of the Dallas Arts District), and Giovanni Valderas (Artist).

Eligibility: All persons with memberships valid through June 30th, 2018 are eligible to submit. Entrants must be or become members of the Creative Arts Center of Dallas before submission. A One Year Individual Membership is $45 or $35 for Seniors, Educators, Students and Veterans. The entry fee is $45 for a maximum of three images per artist. Artwork must be original works produced within 24 months prior to the exhibition and must not have been previously shown in any CAC-related exhibitions. Artists will be notified via email no later than July 17th if their artwork has been accepted.

Accepted artwork must be delivered to Mary Tomás Gallery (1110 Dragon St., Dallas, Texas 75207) on Wednesday, July 25th, Thursday, July 26th, or Friday, July 27th between 11 am–4:00 pm. Artwork must be exhibition-ready with securely attached wire or D-rings and properly labeled with artist name, title, medium, dimensions, year produced, and price. The gallery retains a 30% commission on all artwork sold. Artwork may be picked up September 3rd and 4th from 11 am–4 pm. A $25 storage fee per day will be charged for artwork retrieved after September 5th. The opening reception is Saturday, August 4th from 5:30 pm–8:30 pm. The exhibition ends September 1st.
