2018-19 Quick Sketch Competition

Las Laguna Gallery is seeking 8x10 original submissions on heavy duty drawing paper, watercolor paper, or canvas paper only. Subject matter and medium are open (no photography, jewelry, sculpture, etc.) as long as they meet the paper restrictions and size requirements. Submissions must be mailed as originals; the gallery will provide matting and framing.

Each month, Las Laguna Gallery will select 2 pieces to be hung in the Laguna Beach gallery throughout the following month. Additionally, 8 additional pieces will be selected as Finalists for cash prizes and possible inclusion in the September Quick Sketch exhibition. The 10 Finalists from each month's selections will be compiled in July 2019 for an online vote competition held on Facebook and/or the gallery's website. The top 20 vote getters will be selected to exhibit in the September Quick Sketch show. The top 3 pieces, based 50% on popular vote and 50% on Las Laguna Gallery jury selection, will be awarded cash prizes.

Artists may enter in as many months as they wish. Entry fee is $15 for the first piece, plus $5 for each additional piece (up to 10 total). Submissions must include a minimum of 1 image and a maximum of 15 images.
