About This Call
The 2017 Roslyn Art Fest Juried Show features the theme 'Out of My Window.' The festival promotes art and artists, encourages appreciation of Roslyn Washington's historical qualities, and supports local businesses. The show is sponsored by RTown Community and organized by the RTown Art Festival Committee. Proceeds from fees and commissions support future art events in Roslyn.
The juried art show invites submissions of photographs, two-dimensional and three-dimensional art, with awards given in each category. Maximum size for both two- and three-dimensional work is 36" x 36". Submissions require 1-2 images with a $20 entry fee. Juried artwork will be displayed August 6-31 at Basecamp Books and Bites. Works sold during display are subject to a 40% commission, and all items must be available for sale. The opening reception is Friday, August 4 from 7:00-9:30 p.m., when award winners will be announced. Additional art shows by individual artists will be held in downtown Roslyn businesses. Local artists will also participate in Artist-at-Work and Plein Air exhibitions on Saturday. The Roslyn Farmers Market runs August 6 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. with over 65 booths and approximately 3,200 visitors. TRY-IT art stations offering mini-workshops in clay, hat making, watercolor, and rubber stamp making will be available for families and youth throughout the festival.
