About This Call
The Loveland Art Studio Tour is a city-wide, self-guided, walking/driving tour of artists' studios, galleries, and collaborations. The tour takes place over two weekends in October (October 14-15 and October 21-22, 10 am - 5 pm) and offers artists the opportunity to build their customer base by demonstrating their skills, educating visitors, and welcoming collectors and patrons into their studios.
Eligibility requires that artists have a Loveland mailing address and be recognized as a Loveland artist. Participation fees vary by category: Individual Artist ($150 + $25 application fee), Multiple Artists up to 4 at a single location ($250 per group + $25 application fee per artist), Gallery ($325 + $25 application fee), or Teaching Studio ($325 + $25 application fee). Payment in full is due June 30, 2017. Artists may participate in one or both weekends at the same cost. Locations must be open and staffed for published hours on contracted weekends and must have adequate parking within reasonable distance.
The event provides regional promotion through print and digital advertising, an 8,000-copy full-color guidebook with artist thumbnails and maps, a preview piece displayed in the Loveland Museum Foote Gallery, an artists' reception on September 28, 2017, website coverage with personalized artist information, and directional signage. Applications require three images and go through a jurying process with notification by June 6, 2017. Artists are responsible for personal liability insurance, all necessary sales licenses, and applicable taxes. Each artist is asked to distribute fifty Loveland Art Studio Tour postcards or rack cards.
