2017 Juried Photography Exhibition

Crooked Tree Arts Center in Petoskey presents the 2017 Juried Photography Exhibition, juried by accomplished photographer and teacher Howard Bond. Michigan photographers and Crooked Tree Arts Center members 18 years or older are encouraged to submit up to two photographic works. Three prizes will be awarded: 1st Place $500, 2nd Place $250, and 3rd Place $100.

Online entries are accepted November 1–November 30, 2016. Notification will be sent December 14–15, 2016. Accepted work must be delivered to Crooked Tree Arts Center between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. January 6–11, 2017 (closed Sundays). The exhibition opens with a reception Saturday, January 21, 2017, from 2–4 p.m. and closes Saturday, March 25, 2017. Work pickup is available 10 a.m.–5 p.m. March 27–April 1, 2017. Work not picked up by April 15, 2017 becomes property of the Arts Center.

Entry fee is $40 per artist ($20 for CTAC members with coupon code 17JPE). Submissions must use photographic processes and be created by the submitting artist. Works must not have been previously exhibited at Crooked Tree Arts Center and must be prepared for installation and ready to hang. Digital images must be JPEG format, no smaller than 1920 pixels on the longest side, 72 ppi/dpi resolution, and 5 MB maximum file size. All accepted works must be for sale. Crooked Tree Arts Center retains a 40% commission on sales; the artist receives 60% of the retail price. Works will be insured while on the Arts Center premises. Artists are responsible for delivery and pickup; shipped work incurs a $25 handling fee per artist.
