2017 International Juried Exhibition

The Center for Contemporary Art invites artists age 18 and older to submit work for the 2017 International Juried Exhibition. The exhibition will run from November 17 through December 23, 2017, and will be juried by Stephen Westfall, a professor at the Mason Gross School of the Arts at Rutgers University and Contributing Editor at Art in America.

The exhibition accepts two- and three-dimensional work in all media. Wall pieces must be wired for hanging and no larger than 48" X 48". Free-standing pieces may not exceed 32" X 32" X 60" or weigh more than 50 lbs. Artists may submit up to three JPEG digital images (minimum 1920 pixels on the longest side, 72 ppi/dpi resolution, 5 MB maximum file size). Entry fee is $35 for up to three entries, or $25 for members of The Center for Contemporary Art and art educators. Entry fees are non-refundable. The submission deadline is September 17, 2017 at 11:59 p.m. MDT.

Awards include a Special Exhibitions Committee Award for a solo exhibition at The Center for Contemporary Art, First Prize of $500, Second Prize of $250, and Third Prize of $100. All artists will be notified by email on October 6. Artwork may be hand-delivered during office hours November 7-11 or shipped via Fed-Ex or DHL with a return shipping label included. All artwork is insured for its declared value from receipt through January 6, 2018. The Center for Contemporary Art receives a 30% commission on all exhibition sales. The opening reception is November 16 from 6-8 p.m.
