About This Call
The LSC Arts Program announces the 2017 Student Art Exhibition, the longest running annual event through the program. This exhibition highlights the artistic achievements of CSU's undergraduate and graduate students and allows them to showcase their work in a temporary exhibit. Several pieces may be selected for purchase for the LSC Art Program's collection.
All CSU students are eligible to enter a variety of two- and three-dimensional artworks in all forms of media. Students may submit up to 5 images and 2 video files completed within the last 18 months. Submissions are due by 11:59 p.m. on Wednesday, October 25th. If selected for the exhibition, work must be delivered to the Curfman Gallery by Wednesday, November 1st and must be ready to be displayed. The exhibition will take place in the Curfman Gallery from November 14th to February 2nd. An opening reception will be held Tuesday, November 14th from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
The juror is Lynn E. Boland, Ph.D., Director and Chief Curator of the Gregory Allicar Museum of Art. Boland brings more than 20 years of experience in academic and university museum roles. Since 2009, he was the Pierre Daura Curator of European Art at the Georgia Museum of Art and adjunct professor in the Department of Art History at the University of Georgia. He holds an undergraduate degree in art history from the University of Georgia and master's and doctoral degrees from the University of Texas at Austin, with specialization in 20th century art. Submission to this juried exhibition is free to all Colorado State University students.
