2017 Evendale Fine Arts Exhibit

The 2017 Evendale Fine Arts Exhibit celebrates artists living or working within a 50-mile radius of Evendale, OH. The exhibit is held at the Evendale Recreation Center, 10500 Reading Rd., Cincinnati, OH 45241, from May 5-8, 2017.

Eligibility is open to artists 21 and older living or working within a 50-mile radius of Evendale. All fine art disciplines are encouraged, including paintings (oils, acrylic, watercolor, and pastels), sketches, etchings, and sculpture. All works must be original in concept, design, and execution and will be evaluated for appropriateness as the exhibit is held in a family recreation center. Giclees, photography, and computer-generated artwork will not be accepted. A maximum of five pieces can be submitted, with up to three accepted for exhibition.

Entry fees are $30 for the first piece and $10 for each additional piece (early bird deadline March 10: $20 for first piece, $5 for each additional). Evendale residents who complete submission by the early bird deadline are free of charge. Digital images must be submitted through CallForEntry.org by the March 17 deadline. Accepted artwork must be hand-delivered during scheduled times (May 2-3). Artwork must be appropriately framed or museum-wrapped canvas, wired for hanging, and weigh less than 20 pounds (maximum 36 x 36 inches without special approval). Watercolors larger than 16 x 20 must be framed with plexiglass.

Awards include Best in Show ($500 and one-person show at ECAC), 2nd Place ($350), 3rd Place ($200), and three Honorable Mention Awards ($50 each). Artists are encouraged to offer work for sale; ECAC takes no commission. Artwork must remain on exhibit for the duration of the show. The Village of Evendale cannot be held responsible for loss or damage; artists should make their own insurance arrangements. Notification of accepted artists is March 24, 2017. Art pickup is May 8 (6-7:30 pm) or May 9 (9:30-11:30 am).
