2017 Artworks Northwest

Umpqua Valley Arts Association presents Artworks Northwest, a regional juried art show of work from the Pacific Northwest (Northern California, Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Alaska, British Columbia, Western Montana, and Western Wyoming). The exhibition is open to all media except video. Artists may submit up to 5 entries. The juror is Scott Malbaurn, Director of Southern Oregon University's Schneider Museum of Art.

Cash awards include $1000 for 1st Place, $500 for 2nd Place, $300 for 3rd Place, and $200 for the J. Lynn Peterson – Hundred Valleys Award. Entry fee is $30 for non-members and $20 for UVAA members. All work must be original, created by the entrant within the last two years, and must not have been previously exhibited at UVAA. Fine art prints are eligible if signed, numbered, and in a limited edition of 125 or less. All entries must be for sale. Artwork must fit through a standard 3-foot wide door and weigh less than 50 lbs.

Submission deadline is March 10, 2017. Email notification of acceptance will be sent Friday, March 31, 2017. Accepted artwork must be delivered to UVAA between April 24th and May 2nd. The exhibition runs May 5 – June 25, 2017, with an opening reception Friday, May 5 from 5pm to 7pm. Artwork pickup or shipping will occur July 3 & 5, 2017 from 9am to 4pm. UVAA will insure each accepted work for 60% of its value from arrival until release to the shipping agent. Artists are responsible for shipping costs to and from UVAA.
