2016 WAOW 46th National Exhibition at RS Hanna Gallery

The Women Artists of the West 46th Annual Exhibition will be held at RS Hanna Gallery in Fredericksburg, Texas from November 15 – December 13, 2016. Approximately 180 paintings and 12 sculptures will be selected for the show. The opening reception and awards presentation is December 2, 6-9 pm, with an awards brunch on December 3, 9am – 11am.

Eligibility is open to all WAOW members working in all mediums (excluding photography, digital art, and fiber art). Original work must have been completed within the past two years (2014–2016) and not previously exhibited in WAOW juried shows. Three-dimensional works must be no more than three years old (2013–2016) and exhibited no more than twice in any WAOW juried exhibition. 2D artwork may not exceed 20" in either dimension (excluding frame). 3D works are limited to 75 pounds each. Artwork must be available for sale and professionally framed and ready to hang. Work created with instructor guidance is not eligible. Accepted artists must pay a $20 promotional materials fee within 10 days of notification.

Entry fee is $50.00, with an additional $5.00 media fee for 4-5 images. Submit 3-5 digital images online using pass code waowtexas2016. Artist signatures must be covered before submission. A maximum of one piece per artist will be selected. The blind jury process will be judged by Nancy Boren. Awards include Best of Show ($1,000), 1st Place ($500), 2nd Place ($250), 3rd Place ($100), and multiple category awards totaling over $3,000 in prizes and gifts. Sales split: 2D work 40% gallery, 5% WAOW, 55% artist; 3D work 40% gallery, 60% artist. Payment to artists by January 15, 2017. Accepted work must arrive at Fredericksburg Shipping between November 1-12, 2016.
