About This Call

The South Florida Cultural Consortium is a partnership among the local arts agencies of Broward, Martin, Miami-Dade, Monroe and Palm Beach counties. The Consortium's Fellowship program is intended to nurture the artistic development of eligible visual and media artists who reside in one of these counties. Fellowships are not project-based; recipients may use the Fellowships according to their individual needs.

Fellowships of $15,000 and $7,500 are awarded to selected visual and media artists from the five participating counties. No more than two fellowships of $7,500 may be awarded in each county. All emerging, mid-career and established South Florida professional artists residing in Broward, Martin, Miami-Dade, Monroe or Palm Beach counties are eligible to apply. Applicants must be over 18 years of age and must have resided and worked in one of the participating counties from October 30, 2014 to October 30, 2015. Proof of residency is required and may include property tax records, lease agreements, voter registration, or IRS income tax returns.

Applications must be submitted in digital format online via CAFÉ at https://www.callforentry.org by midnight, October 30, 2015. There is no application fee. Visual artists must submit ten digital images presenting an overview of their work, titles, dimensions, medium and date of each work, a resume, and a statement about their work. Media artists must submit a video file (3GP, WMV, AVI, MOV, ASF, MPG, MP4, M2T, MKV, M2TS format, not exceeding 100 MB and 10 minutes in length), a resume, and a statement about their work. Both categories may include up to two support materials in PDF or MS Word format. All work samples must have been completed within three years prior to the application date. Submissions are reviewed anonymously by a regional panel of visual and media arts experts, with recommendations forwarded to a national panel. For questions about eligibility and requirements, contact Brandi Reddick at [email protected] or 305.375.5436.
