2016 Left Coast Annual Juried Exhibition

The 2016 Left Coast Annual Juried Exhibition will be held April 15 - May 22, 2016 at Sanchez Art Center in Pacifica, California. The exhibition is juried by Lucía Sanromán, Director of Visual Arts at Yerba Buena Center for the Arts in San Francisco. A gala reception will be held Friday, April 15, 7-9 p.m.

Eligibility is open to all California, Oregon, Washington, and Alaska artists age 18 and older. All fine arts visual media will be considered. Artwork shown in prior juried exhibitions at Sanchez Art Center is not eligible. Work must be able to fit through a standard-sized door (80" x 35") and weigh less than 50 lbs. Framed 2D work must be wired (no sawtooth hangers). Artists may enter up to 20 images (including detail shots) or up to 6 videos, with a minimum of 1 total sample. The entry fee is $15 per image. Sanchez Art Center reserves the right to refuse works not accurately represented by the digital images submitted.

Awards include 2 Exhibition Awards ($250 plus an exhibition in 2017) and 2 Merit Awards ($250). Sales are encouraged, with Sanchez Art Center retaining a 30% commission on any works sold. Accepted artists will be notified by 5 p.m. on Monday, March 14. Shipped work must arrive by 5 p.m. on Thursday, April 7. Hand-delivery of work is available Thursday, April 7, 2-8 p.m. Work pickup is available Sunday, May 22, 3:30-5:30 p.m. and Monday, May 23, 10 a.m.-12 p.m. A juror's talk will be held Sunday, May 22, 3:30 p.m. The entry deadline is Tuesday, February 9, 2016, 11 p.m. Pacific Standard Time.
