2016 International Society of Watercolor Artists Juried WATERMEDIA Exhibit

The International Society of Watercolor Artists invites artists to submit work for the 2016 International Juried WATERMEDIA Exhibit. Entry fee is $45 for non-members and $35 for SWA members. SWA members may use coupon code 4444 at checkout to receive the member discount.

Submit 1-3 images of work completed within the past 3 years. Eligible media includes traditional watercolor, acrylics, water-based inks, gouache, and watercolor pencils/crayons on paper or yupo. Up to 10% of inks, pastels, and similar materials are permitted. Work must be original; no copies of other artists' works, published sources, web images, collage, class work, or digital printing are allowed.

Framing requirements: wire hang only with 2" or smaller frame-edge-width. Plexiglass only. Single white or off-white mat (required) with white fillets only. No floating artwork. Diptychs or triptychs must be framed together. Minimum size 10"x12"; maximum size 42" (inside width/opening of frame). Only one painting per artist may hang in the exhibition. Paintings cannot be removed during the exhibition or sold before the show begins. Awards include Best of Show ($1000), 2nd Place ($750), 3rd Place ($500), 4 Juror Awards ($300 each), and 4 Honorable Mention awards ($150 each). Contact [email protected] with questions.
