2016 International Juried Exhibit

The Center for Contemporary Art invites international artists age 18 and older to submit work for the 2016 International Juried Exhibit, running November 10 – December 23, 2016. The exhibition will feature two- and three-dimensional work in all media. Juror Jonathan Goodman, an art writer and poet based in New York who has written about contemporary art for more than thirty years for publications including Art in America, Sculpture, and Art Asia Pacific, will select works for the show.

Wall pieces must be wired for hanging and no larger than 48" X 48". Free-standing pieces may not exceed 32" X 48" X 60" or weigh more than 50 lbs. Submit up to three JPEG digital images (no smaller than 1920 pixels on the longest side, 72 ppi/dpi resolution, 5 MB maximum file size). Entry fee is $35 for up to three entries, or $25 for Members of The Center for Contemporary Art and Art Educators. Entry fees are non-refundable. Submission deadline is Sunday, September 11, 2016 at 11:59 p.m. MDT.

Artwork may be hand-delivered or shipped to The Center for Contemporary Art. In-person delivery is accepted Wednesday, November 2 - Saturday, November 5 during office hours. Shipped artwork must be received by Friday, November 5. The artist is responsible for shipping costs using Fed-Ex or DHL and must include a return shipping label and return postage. All artwork is insured for its declared value from receipt through January 7, 2017. Awards include a Special Exhibitions Committee Award (Solo Exhibition at The Center for Contemporary Art), First Prize ($500), Second Prize ($250), and Third Prize ($100). The Center for Contemporary Art receives a 30% commission on all exhibition sales. Photographs of accepted artwork may be used for promotional purposes.
