2016 Evendale Fine Art Exhibit Call to Artists

The Village of Evendale Cultural Arts Center & Recreation Department invites artists living or working within a 50-mile radius of Evendale, OH to participate in the 2016 Evendale Fine Art Exhibit. The exhibition will be held at the Evendale Recreation Center, 10500 Reading Rd., Cincinnati, OH 45241, from April 29 to May 2, 2016.

Eligibility is open to artists 21 and older working in fine art disciplines including paintings (oils, acrylic, watercolor, and pastels), sketches, etchings, and sculpture. All works must be original in concept, design, and execution and will be evaluated for appropriateness as the exhibit is held in a family recreation center. Giclees, photography, and computer-generated artwork will not be accepted. A maximum of five pieces may be submitted, with up to three accepted for exhibition. Digital images must be submitted through CallForEntry.org by the March 18, 2016 deadline at 11:59 p.m. MDT. Entry fees are $30 for the first piece and $10 for each additional piece. An early bird deadline of March 11 offers reduced fees ($20 for the first piece, $5 for each additional), and Evendale residents who submit by the early bird deadline are free of charge (coupon code required). Accepted artists will be notified by email on March 24, 2016.

Accepted artwork must be hand-delivered April 26-27, 2016. Work must be appropriately framed or museum-wrapped canvas, wired for hanging, and weigh less than 20 pounds (maximum 36 x 36 inches without special approval). Watercolors larger than 16 x 20 must be framed with plexiglass. Artists are encouraged to price work for sale; the ECAC takes no commission. Awards include Best in Show ($500 and a one-person show), 2nd Place ($350), 3rd Place ($200), and three Honorable Mention awards ($50 each). The 2016 juror is Dave Klocke.
