2016 CAC Annual Juried Membership Exhibition

Creative Arts Center of Dallas is accepting submissions for its 2016 Annual Juried Membership Exhibition as part of the organization's 50th anniversary celebration. CAC members are invited to submit up to three images of original 2D or 3D artworks created within the last two years for consideration by a juried panel. The jurors are Michael Heinlen (JM Gallery), Maria Teresa G. Pedroche (Head of Community Engagement at DMA), and Mary Tomás (Mary Tomás Gallery).

All persons with memberships valid through July 2016 are eligible to submit. Entrants must be or become members of Creative Arts Center of Dallas before submission. A One Year Individual Membership is $45 or $35 for Seniors, Educators, Students and Veterans. The entry fee is $45 for a maximum of three images per artist. Artwork must be original works produced within 24 months prior to the exhibition and must not have been previously shown in any CAC related exhibitions. Work samples must be submitted as JPEG files no smaller than 1920 pixels on the longest side, at 72 ppi/dpi resolution, with a maximum file size of 5 MB.

Artists will be notified via email by July 13th if their artwork has been accepted. Accepted artwork must be delivered to Mary Tomás Gallery (1110 Dragon St., Dallas, Texas 75207) between July 20th-22nd, 11 am–5 pm. All accepted artworks must be labeled with artist name, title, medium, dimensions, year produced, and price, and must be exhibition ready with securely attached wire or D-rings. The gallery retains a 30% commission on all artwork sold during the exhibition. Artworks may be picked up September 5th-6th, 11 am–5 pm; a $25 storage fee per day will be charged for artwork retrieved after September 6th.
