About This Call
Umpqua Valley Arts Association presents Artworks Northwest, a regional juried art show of work from the Pacific Northwest (Northern California, Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Alaska, British Columbia, Western Montana, and Western Wyoming). The exhibition is open to all media except video.
Juror Stephen Hayes will select works for exhibition. Cash awards include $1,000 for 1st Place, $500 for 2nd Place, $300 for 3rd Place, and $200 for the J. Lynn Peterson – Hundred Valleys Award. The exhibition runs May 6 – June 26, 2016, with an opening reception on Friday, May 6 from 5pm to 7pm.
Entry fees are $30 for non-members and $20 for members, covering 1–3 artwork entries. Artists may submit up to 3 entries in all themes, genres, and media except video. All work must be original, created by the entrant within the last two years, and not previously exhibited at UVAA. Fine art prints (c-prints, digital prints, etchings, lithographs, woodblock, etc.) are eligible if signed, numbered, and in a limited edition of 125 or less. Entries must be submitted as digital JPG files through the CaFE website. All accepted artwork must be for sale and fit through a standard 3-foot wide door and weigh less than 50 lbs. UVAA commission rates are 30% for members and 40% for non-members. Artwork will be insured for 60% of its value from arrival at UVAA until release to the shipping agent. Artists are responsible for shipping costs to and from UVAA. Email notification of acceptance will be sent Friday, April 1, 2016. Art delivery to UVAA is Monday, May 2, 2016. Artwork pickup/shipping is July 5 & 6, 2016 from 10am to 5pm.
