2016 Artist Roster & Spring Exhibitions

Dab Art will review proposals for spring/summer group exhibitions at The HUD Gallery. Semi-finalists chosen for these group exhibitions will be further evaluated and considered for final roster selections. Early applications are encouraged as exhibition considerations will be made prior to the deadline.

Dab Art specializes in curating progressive exhibitions focusing on contemporary artists, promoting a wide spectrum of genres and mediums in solo, group, and juried exhibitions. The HUD is a 10,000 square foot vintage building with a 3,000 sq.ft. gallery space curated exclusively by Dab Art. Exhibition lengths vary from 4 to 5 weeks. Featured artists are invited and encouraged to personally attend receptions to discuss their work with visitors and collectors.

Accepted artwork includes painting, printmaking, sculpture, glass, fiber, functional, digital, photography, installation, mixed media, and new genres. Proposals may include multiple disciplines. All work must be original, unsold, and the artist must own sole copyright. Frames, mats, and wiring must be professional quality and in good condition. 2D artwork selected for exhibition must be ready to hang. The number of pieces varies depending on the artist's medium, sizes, shapes, and available wall space. Artists are responsible for round-trip shipping and insurance. All shipments must include a prepaid UPS or FED EX return label in a reusable container. Work sent through USPS must include a shipping label; USPS stamps will not be accepted. No packing peanuts are permitted.

Entry fee is $35.00, with an additional $5.00 media fee for each image beyond the first. An optional 15-minute phone consultation is available for $50.00. Submit 3-20 images. Dab Art retains a 20% commission on all group exhibition and secondary market sales. Sales payouts are provided within 45 days after receipt of full payment from the buyer. Final roster selections will be made at the end of June 2016. International artists are eligible.
