2015 Zanesville Prize for Contemporary Ceramics

The 2015 Zanesville Prize for Contemporary Ceramics is an international competition open to all artists over 18 working in ceramic media. Artists may submit up to three works completed in the past two years that have not previously been exhibited at this competition. All works must be original, primarily ceramic (mixed media accepted only if ceramic is dominant), and available for sale. Entry fee is $40 USD.

Work specifications: Maximum dimensions 60"W x 60"L x 60"H or 150 lbs. Floor and pedestal works must be self-supporting. Wall-supported works limited to 35 lbs. Outer crate/packing dimensions must not exceed 46"W x 70"L x 80"H. Submissions must include 1-6 images (first image full view, second image detail). Retail price must be declared at submission and cannot be altered.

Deadline for entries is July 17, 2015 at 11:59 p.m. MDT. Notification of acceptances will be sent August 3, 2015. Accepted works must be delivered August 31-September 4, 2015. The exhibition runs September 25, 2015 to January 2, 2016, with a one-day conference and workshops on September 26, 2015. Artists are responsible for all shipping, delivery, and insurance costs. A 40% commission will be taken on all sales. Accepted works will be covered by Fine Arts Insurance while on display.
