2015 Transparent Watercolor Society of America 39th National Exhibition

The Transparent Watercolor Society of America is accepting entries for its 39th National Exhibition, featuring $20,000 in cash awards. The exhibition runs May 2 - August 2, 2015 at Kenosha Public Museum in Wisconsin.

Eligibility and Requirements: Transparent watercolor only. Applicants must be TWSA members (Life Members are free with coupon code TWSA4Life). Entry fee is $50 for 2015 membership and one image; additional images are $5 each. Submissions must be transparent watercolor applied on single sheet of 100% rag or cotton paper. Framed size cannot exceed 50" in either direction; minimum mat opening is 8"x10". Unacceptable entries include white paint, gesso, acrylic, gouache, ink, pastel, metallic/iridescent paint, collage, surface constructions, embossing, varnishing, non-approved papers, digital images, or enhancements. Pencil marks are permitted for planning only.

Submission Details: Submit 1-2 digital images in JPEG format, minimum 1920 pixels on longest side, 72 ppi/dpi resolution, maximum 5 MB file size. Paintings are due April 11-17 at Kenosha Public Museum. Notifications will be announced the first week of March. A private reception honoring artists and students is June 12, with the Celebrate Watercolor Awards Dinner on June 13. The museum charges 35% commission on sold paintings.
