2015 Santa Fe Plein Air Festival

The 2015 Santa Fe Plein Air Festival is open to all plein air artists worldwide working in two-dimensional media, excluding photography and digital art. Artists must submit 3 images of works for jury consideration. All work must be at least 80% completed en plein air within the past two years and must be original. Work done under the guidance of an instructor is not eligible.

The entry fee is $45.00 (non-refundable) for 3 images. Jury result notification will be emailed by March 22, 2015. Artists accepted into the event must become members of PAPNM (annual membership fee $35.00) and pay a participation fee of $75.00 (non-refundable) within 10 calendar days of notification of acceptance. The paint-out takes place June 7-12, with an opening reception on Friday, June 12 at 5-7 pm. The gallery exhibition runs June 12 through July 5 at InArt Gallery, located in the Canyon Road art corridor. A maximum of 2 works created during the event may be submitted for award consideration and inclusion in the exhibition. All work must be for sale; artists will receive 50% of the sales price, InArt will receive 40%, and PAPNM will receive 10%. Each dimension of any work, including the frame, shall not exceed 24 inches. Over $10,000.00 in cash and prizes will be awarded including Best of Show, Best Oil Painting, Best Pastel Painting, Best Sunset, and Quick Draw awards. Jill Carver, a renowned oil painter and Signature Member of Plein Air Painters of America, will judge the main event. A three-day workshop by Jill Carver is also available June 13-15 for $400.00 (sold out with waitlist started).
