2015 Miami Photo Salon Second Edition

The 2015 Miami Photo Salon Second Edition is an international photography festival taking place at Spectrum Art Fair during Art Basel Week in Midtown Miami, December 2-6, 2015. Selected artists will have their work exhibited and will receive full access to the fair with credentials, meet collectors and curators, and be listed in the Spectrum Art Fair catalog distributed to all visitors.

Eligibility: Open to photographers age 18 or older. Work must be original and created on or after January 1, 2010. Photographers may submit a minimum of 3 images and a maximum of 25 images. Multiple entries and collaborations are permitted. Entry fee is $45 for three photographs, with an additional $20 per image for up to 25 total images. Entry fees are non-refundable and non-transferrable.

Submission Requirements: Images must be submitted online via CaFE in JPEG format only. Minimum 1920 pixels on the longest side, 72 ppi resolution, and no larger than 3 MB file size. Deadline: August 15, 2015 at midnight Rocky Mountain Time. Jury selection will occur August 20-30, 2015, with photographers notified by September 15, 2015. The 2015 theme is "Contemporary World: Singularity and contradictions." Prizes include a Grand Prize of $2,500, a People's Choice Award of $500, a Best in Show Award of $2,500, and a solo exhibit April 15, 2016 at the Cuban American Phototheque Foundation. Selected photographs must be printed and framed to specifications: 11" x 18" matted in 18" x 24" frame, or 16" x 20" matted in 20" x 24" frame. A printing and framing service is available for $75 per image, though use of this service is not mandatory.
