2015 Louisville Art Association National Juried Fine Art Show

The Louisville Art Association invites artists to submit work for their 2015 National Juried Fine Art Show. This exhibition is open to all artists 18 years and older working in all media except photography, digital art, quilts, and fiber arts. All submitted work must be original, for sale, and not previously displayed in a LAA Fine Art Show.

Entry fee is $35 for up to 3 entries, with an additional $10 per entry up to a maximum of 5 pieces. Submissions must include 3-5 JPG images. Work must meet size requirements: minimum 11" x 14" framed, maximum 48" on any side. Sculptures and 3-dimensional work are welcome and must be properly mounted and under 70 lbs. All wall-hanging art must be properly framed and wired, ready to hang. Gallery-wrapped canvases are accepted without frames if properly wired and all edges are painted. Artwork will be juried by JPG, and accepted pieces must be identical to submitted images.

The exhibition runs September 2-13, 2015 at the Louisville Center for the Arts. An Awards Reception honoring participating artists will be held Saturday, September 5th from 6pm to 9pm. Judge Michael Dowling will select award winners. Awards include: Best of Show/First Place ($500), 2nd Place ($350), 3rd Place ($150), 10 Merit Awards ($100 each), Judge's Award ($100), and 1 People's Choice Award ($100). All exhibited artwork is for sale with LAA retaining a 25% commission. Accepted artists should provide a brief biography (170 words or less) for display. Shipped artwork must arrive by August 28, 2015; hand delivery is accepted September 2, 2015 from 4pm-7pm. All work must be picked up by September 13, 2015 between 4pm-6pm.
