2015 Fall Open Juried Show

Falkirk Cultural Center invites artists residing in the San Francisco Bay Area to submit original work for the Annual Fall Juried Exhibition. Artists may submit up to 3 separate pieces completed in the past two years that have not been previously shown in a Falkirk Cultural Center exhibition. The exhibition runs from November 6 to December 20, 2015.

Work is open to all media except video and jewelry. For 2D work, provide 1 digital image per piece. For 3D work, 2 digital images (or two views) per piece are accepted. 2D artwork must not exceed 60 x 60 inches and 70 pounds total weight; all works on paper must be framed and include hanging wires attached with D-rings, mirror hangers, or interior-mounted screw-eyes. 3D artwork must not exceed 48 x 48 x 48 inches and 70 pounds, and must be stable and ready to display. Diptychs and triptychs count as one piece.

The entry fee is $40 for up to three entries. Digital entries, payment, and entry forms must be received by midnight, Sunday, October 11, 2015. Accepted artists will be notified via email. Awards include 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Place Honorary Awards. Juror is Beth Goldberg, curator with 30 years of experience in contemporary art. Hand delivery of accepted artwork is required. Falkirk Cultural Center will not insure work on premises and reserves the right not to exhibit accepted work that arrives in non-display condition. A 30% commission applies to sold work.
