About This Call
The Village of Evendale Cultural Arts Center & Recreation Center presents the Evendale Fine Art Exhibit, May 1-4, 2015. This exhibit celebrates diverse, talented artists living or working within a 50 mile radius of Evendale (10500 Reading Rd., Cincinnati, OH 45241).
Eligibility: Open to artists 21 and older living or working within 50 miles of Evendale. All fine art disciplines are encouraged. Eligible media include paintings (oils, acrylic, watercolor, and pastels), sketches, etchings, and sculpture. No giclees, photography, or computer-generated artwork will be accepted. All works must be original in concept, design, and execution and will be evaluated for appropriateness as the exhibit is held in a family recreation center.
Submission: A maximum of five pieces may be submitted, with up to three accepted. Digital images must be submitted through CallForEntry.org by the deadline. Entry fees are $30 for the first piece and $10 for each additional piece. Early bird submissions (by March 6, 2015) are $20 for the first piece and $5 for each additional piece. Evendale residents pay $30 and $10 respectively, or free with early bird submission. Fees are non-refundable. Accepted artwork must be hand-delivered during scheduled times. Size and weight are limited to what one person can move; hung work must weigh less than 20 pounds and measure no larger than 36 X 36 inches without special approval. Artwork must be appropriately framed or museum-wrapped canvas and wired for hanging. No sawtooth hangers accepted. Labels must be securely attached to the back or bottom with artist's name, title, medium, price, and email address.
Awards: Best in Show ($300 and one-person show at ECAC), 2nd Place ($200), 3rd Place ($100), and three Honorable Mention awards ($50 each). Juror: Nancy Nordloh Neville. Artists are encouraged to offer work for sale; ECAC takes no commission and is not responsible for sales taxes. Insurance is the artist's responsibility. Art pickup is May 4, 6-7:30 pm or May 5, 9:30-11:30 am.
