2015 Bellingham National Art Exhibition and Awards

The Bellingham National 2015 Art Exhibition and Awards is open to all artists working in the United States. Works may be in any medium and must be original, completed within the last two years, and available through the entire run of the show. The exhibition runs May 30 - September 13, 2015 at the Whatcom Museum in Bellingham, Washington.

Awards include 1st place $2,000, 2nd place $1,000, 3rd place $500, and a Popular Award of $500. The juror is Scott Lawrimore, Director of the Jacob Lawrence Gallery at the University of Washington. Entrants may submit up to three digital images of different artworks for a $35 entry fee. Two-dimensional works cannot exceed 60 inches in height and 48 inches in width (including frame). Three-dimensional works cannot exceed 60 inches in height, 24 inches in width, and 24 inches in depth, with a weight limit of 50 lbs per crated or packaged work. Video and performance stills can be submitted with links provided. Each submission must include a current resume and artist's statement (no more than 1000 characters).

The entry deadline is February 22, 2015. Juror selections will be announced via email during the week of March 16, 2015. Artists are responsible for all shipping and insurance costs to and from the museum. Shipped work must be received between April 15 and May 1, 2015. The Whatcom Museum is accredited by the American Association of Museums and is a Smithsonian Institution affiliate.
