About This Call
Pelham Art Center announces the 8th biennial Alexander Rutsch Award and Exhibition for Painting. The prize winner will receive a solo exhibition at Pelham Art Center (May 1 – June 13, 2015) and a $5,000 cash award. An opening reception and award presentation will be held Friday, May 1, 2015, 6:30-8:00pm.
Eligibility: Only U.S.-based artists, 19 years of age and older, are eligible to apply. Entry fee is $30 per applicant. Applicants must submit five digital painting images through the online entry form. Images must be in JPEG format, no smaller than 1920 pixels on the longest side, 72 ppi/dpi resolution, and 5 MB maximum file size. Paintings must not exceed 84 x 84 inches. All submitted images must be available for possible exhibition.
Finalists will be contacted and required to submit an artist's statement, résumé, and images of 10-15 additional available works. Entry deadline: February 1, 2015, 11:59pm MST. Finalists will be notified February 13, 2015, and the winner will be notified February 25, 2015. Contact: [email protected]
