2015-2016 CSArt Colorado: Community Supported Art Colorado

CSArt Colorado seeks 10 emerging and established Colorado-based artists to contribute their time, creativity, commitment, and artistic expertise throughout 2016. Curators will select a diverse group of artists based on artistic excellence and ability to execute the required number of works. Each artist will receive a $1,000 honorarium to support the production of 60 original works of art—50 works for shareholders and one additional work for each participating artist.

All artists maintaining a residence in Colorado are eligible to apply. The program does not allow artists to participate in consecutive years; 2013 artists will be eligible again in 2015. All artistic media are welcome, though visual presentation will be considered in the selection process. Artists must deliver wrapped, protected, and labeled artwork prior to distribution as indicated in their contract. There is currently no plan to exhibit the artwork, but online presence will be possible. Attendance at distribution events to meet patrons is encouraged.

Application materials required: 3-5 work samples (format varies by discipline), artist statement (limited to 2,000 characters), artist biography (limited to 1,000 characters), one-page CV, and headshot. Application deadline is August 8, 2015 at 11:59 p.m. MDT. Entry fee is $20. Notification will occur in late summer 2015. Selected artists must execute contracts in time to be announced at the October 15th art distribution event at Boulder Museum of Contemporary Art. Attendance at the October 15th event is required.
