2014 TRIFECTA at Sylvia White Gallery

CANCELLATION NOTICE: Due to circumstances beyond their control, the Sylvia White Gallery has canceled the 2014 TRIFECTA at Sylvia White Gallery juried show.

This exhibition was open to all US and international resident artists at least 18 years of age. Eligible entries included paintings, mixed media, works on paper, photography, sculpture, installation art, digital media, video, and performance with no size restrictions. Site-specific installations were encouraged. The three jurors were Lora Schlesinger (owner, Lora Schlesinger Gallery, Santa Monica, CA), Norma Ibarra (Lead Private Art Consultant, Fresh Paint Art Advisors, Culver City, CA), and Betty Ann Brown (internationally recognized Art Critic and Curator).

Entry fee was $45 for review of 5 images, with $5 for each additional image up to 20 total. Artists were notified by June 15, with work to be received by July 9. The exhibition was scheduled for July 16-August 16, 2014, with an opening reception on Saturday, July 19, 3-5pm in conjunction with Ventura Art Walk. All accepted work had to remain in the gallery for the duration of the exhibit and be available for sale. The gallery retained 40% of sales prices. Artists were responsible for delivery and return shipping. All work had to be suitably framed, wired, and ready for hanging or installation, with no glass allowed. Shipped work had to be packaged in reusable containers without styrofoam peanuts, and a prepaid waybill for return was required. Artists were responsible for insuring their own pieces.
