About This Call
The School of Photographic Arts and Sciences invites MFA graduates and students to submit up to two pieces of academic work created for any school course since June 1 of last summer (terms 2124-summer, 2131-fall, 2133-intersession, 2135-spring included) for the annual Student Honors Show. Work will be juried by all members of SPAS faculty.
Team pieces are permitted if the work has been made for a SPAS course. Teams may be of any size, but only three team members can be listed in the submission system. Team members may also submit work individually by registering separately.
Submissions may include up to two pieces in the following formats: JPEG images no larger than 1.8 MB for photographs and 3-D multimedia; book submissions as JPEG of title/cover page (less than 1.8 MB) with PDF uploaded to a website (issuu.com, slideshare.net, or blurb.com) and URL provided in the submission; audio files less than 10 MB in AIFF, WAV, XMF, or MP3 format; video files less than 100 MB in 3GP, WMV, AVI, MOV, ASF, MPG, MP4, M2T, MKV, M2TS format; or series submissions as a single JPEG file (less than 1.8 MB) consisting of two or three related images.
Thirty Purchase Awards of $150 each will be given to selected work. Award recipients will receive payment in cash in exchange for selling their work to the Purchase Award sponsor at the end of the exhibition in August 2014. Work selected for multiple Purchase Awards may require additional prints. Artists may indicate their work is not for sale by entering a price of $0 when uploading media samples.
