2014 Plein Air Santa Fe

2014 Plein Air Santa Fe is a juried competition for plein air painters. The event takes place June 7–July 6, 2014 in Santa Fe, New Mexico, with an opening reception on Friday, June 13th from 5–7 pm.

A total of 49 artists will be selected by jury to participate. Eligibility is open to all artists worldwide working in two-dimensional media, excluding photography and digital art. Artists must submit images of 3 original works that are at least 80% completed en plein air within the past two years. Work done under instructor guidance is not eligible. The entry fee is $45.00 (non-refundable), due by April 7, 2014. Accepted artists must become PAPNM members (annual fee $30.00) and pay a participation fee of $75.00 (non-refundable) within 10 calendar days of acceptance notification.

Over $5,000 in cash and prizes will be awarded, including "Best of Show," "Best Oil Painting," "Best Pastel Painting," "Best Nocturne," and "Best Quick Draw" awards. Jurors of Selection are Joshua Been, Linda Dellandre, and Mike McKoskey. The Judge of Awards is Teresa Onoda, who will also offer a workshop June 14–15 (separate registration and fee). A maximum of 2 works created during the event may be accepted for exhibition. All work must be for sale, with artists receiving 50% of sales. Work must be sturdily framed and ready to hang, with maximum framed dimensions of 24" in either length or width. The exhibition runs June 13–July 6, 2014 at InArt Gallery, 219 Delgado Street, Santa Fe.
