2014 Louisville National Juried Photography Show

The Louisville Art Association presents the 23rd Annual National Juried Photography Show and Sale, held at the Louisville Center for the Arts, a renovated Victorian-era red brick schoolhouse (circa 1904) located at 801 Grant Avenue, Louisville, Colorado.

The show features six entry categories: Color (People and Animals, Landscape and Architecture, Still Life/Floral/Abstract) and B&W (People and Animals, Landscape and Architecture, Still Life/Floral/Abstract). Artists may submit 3-6 images. Entry fee is $40 for the first three pieces, with a $10 media fee for each additional image. Over $12,000 in total cash and other awards will be distributed, including Best of Show ($500), Judge's Award ($250), People's Choice ($100), and category awards (6 First Place at $200, 6 Second Place at $125, 6 Honorable Mention at $75). The judge is Joseph Roybal, a Denver-based professional photographer specializing in travel and landscape portrait photography.

All work must be original and executed professionally. Previously exhibited work in LAA shows will not be accepted. Framed work must be properly wired and ready to hang with no sawtooth hangers or exposed glass edges, with a maximum framed size of 1,300 square inches. Selected work may be displayed for sale with a 25% commission charged by LAA. Show dates are May 31 – June 8, with an opening reception on May 31, Sponsors' Demo Day on June 1, and Wine and Cheese Reception on June 6. Entry deadline is April 25. Accepted artists must deliver shipped work by May 23 or hand-deliver between 2-7 pm on May 28. Work pickup is June 8 between 4-6 pm only.
