About This Call
The 13th Annual Lone Tree Art Expo is presented by the City of Lone Tree and the Lone Tree Arts Commission. This juried exhibition runs November 17, 2014 – January 5, 2015 at the Lone Tree Arts Center, 10075 Commons Street, Lone Tree, Colorado, 80124. The opening reception is November 20 at 5:30 pm – 7:30 pm.
Artists may submit up to three pieces of original artwork in the following categories: Painting (oil, acrylic, and tempera), Drawing (pastel, pencil, and charcoal), Watercolor, Mixed Media, and Sculpture. Artwork must have been completed within the last three years and must not have been shown in a previous Lone Tree art exhibition. Artwork must be available for purchase and non-offensive to a general audience of all ages. Three-dimensional artwork cannot exceed 15" and cannot weigh more than 75 pounds. Two-dimensional media cannot exceed 48", must be a minimum of 12", and cannot weigh more than 20 pounds. Artwork must be hand-delivered during designated drop-off (Monday, November 17, 2014, 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.) and pick-up times (Monday, January 5, 2015, 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.). No art shipments will be accepted.
The entry fee is $35 (non-refundable). Artists will receive email notification on Friday, October 17th, 2014 regarding acceptance. Awards include Best of Show, Commissioner's Choice, and First and Second Place awards in each category. The Best of Show winner receives gallery space at the Lone Tree Arts Center for 15 days following the exhibition (January 5–20). A 20% sales commission applies to all sales. Artwork must be ready to hang on the Arakawa Hanging System with wire on the back, weigh no more than 20 pounds, and include a label on the back identifying artist, title, category, and price. By submitting artwork, artists agree that the City of Lone Tree, Lone Tree Arts Commission, and Lone Tree Arts Center are not responsible for damage or theft. Artists are responsible for maintaining their own insurance.
