2014 Kansas City Artists Coalition 19th Annual Undergraduate College Student Juried Competition

The Kansas City Artists Coalition presents its 19th Annual Student Juried Competition, open to currently enrolled undergraduate college students in Western Missouri and Eastern Kansas. Missouri schools from the state line to N-S Hwy 63 and Kansas schools from the state line to N-S Hwy 81 are eligible. Students may enter 1-3 original artworks completed in the last two years that have not been previously shown in KCAC Galleries. All media is eligible. 2-D work must be framed and wired for installation; works on paper should be framed under Plexiglas. Sculpture must not weigh over 150 lbs. If accepted, video artists must provide display equipment for the duration of the exhibition. There is no entry fee.

The exhibition runs April 11-25, 2014 at the Mallin and Jacqueline B. Charno Galleries, 201 Wyandotte, Kansas City, Missouri 64105. The opening reception is April 11, 6-8 PM. Artwork must be hand delivered April 4-5 between 11-4 p.m. Works must be picked up April 26 between 11-4 p.m. Artists will be notified of acceptance beginning March 21, 2014. The juror is Tommy Frank, Studio Manager at Red Star Studios. The Leigh Rosenberg Earnest Memorial Fund will award a total of $500 in scholarships. KCAC will take 30% commission on work sold from the exhibition. KCAC provides insurance for the exhibition.
