2014 Gifts in the Gallery Call for Artists

Gifts in the Gallery is a boutique style holiday sale located in Bloomington Theatre and Art Center's (BTAC) Inez Greenberg Gallery, running December 9-23, 2014. A review panel will jury and select approximately 50-60 local and regional artists to sell their high quality gifts. The kickoff celebration, "A Festive Reception," opens the sale with live music, a cash bar, appetizers and door prizes. Gifts in the Gallery will coincide with other events held in the Bloomington Center for the Arts, including BTAC's holiday theater performances of Striking 12 and the City of Bloomington's indoor Farmer's Market. The 2013 sale received more than 10,000 visits.

BTAC will set up the sale, merchandise all items, and handle all sales transactions including collecting and payment of Minnesota sales tax. BTAC will retain 35% of sales. Artists must submit 5-10 digital images representative of their sale items, retail prices, item descriptions, and an optional artist statement. The application fee is $15. Important dates: deliver items on December 4 (time TBA); sale dates December 9-23; pick up remaining items on December 23, 24, or 29 (times TBA).
