2014 Call for Artists: Minan Gallery | Los Angeles, CA

Minan Gallery is seeking emerging and mid-career artists to join their roster. The gallery is located in Los Angeles, California, near LACMA, Museum Row, Miracle Mile, and Culver City. Selected artists will become official Minan Gallery artists and receive benefits including solo show exhibitions, invitations to participate in group exhibitions, representation at various art fairs, consultation and portfolio assistance, and marketing and promotional assistance in selected art magazines and publications. Minan Gallery is not a co-op gallery and does not collect representation fees, consultation fees, or rental fees from artists. There is no maximum limit to the number of artists selected. Artists of all mediums and genres are encouraged to apply, including painting, printmaking, sculpture, glass, fiber, jewelry, functional, digital, photography, installation, video, mixed-media, and new genres.

Selected artists will be invited to participate in the Feria Group Exhibition showcasing Minan Gallery artists in 2014. Selected artists will also be invited to have their own solo show exhibition in the 2015 calendar year at Minan Gallery's Los Angeles location, and will be invited to participate in a selection of art fairs and small group shows in various cities across the United States. Results will be announced on or before Friday, March 28, 2014.

Eligibility: Age 18+, residing in the U.S. or abroad. Submission requirements include 6, 10, 15, or 20 images, an artist statement (up to 2 pages), CV/resume (up to 2 pages), and optionally a bio (up to 1 page). Entry fees are $45 for 6 images, with additional fees of $10 for 10 images, $15 for 15 images, and $25 for 20 images. Students and seniors (age 65+) with proof of eligibility receive a discounted rate of $35 for 6 images. The jury will comprise gallery directors and guest curators affiliated with Minan Gallery. Entry deadline is February 28, 2014 at 11:59 p.m. MST.
