2014 Art Basel Miami Week Open Juried Exhibition "Cosmic Connections"

Contemporary Art Projects USA presents an open juried exhibition titled "Cosmic Connections" at the Concept Fair during Art Basel Miami Week, running December 1-7, 2014. The fair is located in the Brickell District near the Perez Museum and Frost Museum in downtown Miami.

The exhibition welcomes international artists, 18 years of age and older, to respond to the theme "Cosmic Connections." All innovative media are accepted, including painting, photography, small and monumental sculptures, installations, 3D printing, digital and computer art, mixed media, short films, and videos. An esteemed jury will select artwork based on artistic excellence, innovation, and originality. The 2014 jurors are Roberta Gonella (gallery owner, art consultant, and curator), Richard L. Tooke (former curator with 30 years of photography experience), and Silvia Medina (founding member of the Havana Biennial and freelance curator).

Entry fee is $55.00, with an additional $10.00 media fee for work samples over the minimum. Artists may submit 1-4 total samples (up to 3 images and 1 video). Selected artists will have one artwork displayed on the HD Cosmic Connection Display at the Concept Fair and included in the Cosmic Connection Digital Project Catalog. Winners receive First Prize of $2,000.00 and Second Prize of $1,000.00. All accepted applicants receive six months on Contemporary Art Projects USA e-commerce. Galleries, foundations, institutions, and groups of artists are welcome to apply.
