2013 Parklane Gallery Summertime Show

Parklane Gallery announces its 2013 Summertime Juried Show. All artists in the United States are invited to submit 2D fine art work to be on display and for sale at the gallery during the show. The exhibition runs from August 6 to September 1, 2013. Entry deadline is June 16, 2013 at 11:59 p.m. MDT. Entry fee is $30 for 1 to 3 artworks.

Artists must submit 1 to 3 images of their work. All 2D art is permitted, including oil, watercolor, pastel, ink, acrylic, prints, collage, photographic, and digital art. Entries must be original work entirely created by the entrant and not previously shown at this gallery. Work must be framed or on gallery-wrapped canvas and ready to hang. Individual pieces may not exceed 4 square feet in area (including frame). All work on paper must be under glass or Plexiglas. Shipped work must use Plexiglas. All work must be properly framed and wired with no sawtooth hangers, exposed glass edges, or cleats. Artists are responsible for all shipping charges both directions.

Awards include Best in Show ($500), Second Prize ($200), and Third Prize ($100). The juror is Teresa Saia, an artist from Whidbey Island, Washington. Artist notifications will be sent July 3, 2013. Shipped work must arrive by July 26, 2013. Hand deliveries are accepted August 4, 2013. An artist reception and award presentations will be held August 9, 2013 from 5-8 p.m. Artists may pick up work September 1 (3-7 p.m.) and September 2 (10 a.m.–2 p.m.). Shipped work will be returned by September 9, 2013. All artists must be 18 years of age or older. All work must be for sale, and Parklane Gallery retains a 30% commission on sales.
