2013 Louisville National Juried Photography Show

The Louisville Art Association presents the 22nd Annual National Juried Photography Show, one of the longest running and most respected photography shows in the country. The show offers over $9,000 in cash and other awards, including Best of Show ($500), Judge's Award ($250), People's Choice ($100), and six awards by category (First Place $200, Second Place $125, Honorable Mention $75).

Entry categories include Color: People and Animals, Color: Landscape and Architecture, Color: Still Life/Floral/Abstract, B&W: People and Animals, B&W: Landscape and Architecture, and B&W: Still Life/Floral/Abstract. Entries must be digital JPEG format, 1920 pixels along the longest edge, in sRGB color space, 72 DPI, with a framed size limit of 1300 square inches. All work must be original and executed professionally; work shown in previous LAA shows will not be accepted. Entry fee is $35 for the first three pieces, $10 for each additional entry, with a limit of 10 entries per person. Entries are non-refundable.

The judge is Dan Ballard, an internationally known travel and landscape photographer from Colorado. The show runs June 1-8, 2013 at the Louisville Center for the Arts, 801 Grant Avenue, Louisville, Colorado. The opening reception is June 1, with a Wine and Cheese Reception on June 7 and Sponsors' Demo Night on June 8. Accepted work must be properly framed, wired, and ready to hang. Artists may display up to 10 pieces of matted work or cards for sale, with LAA charging a 25% commission on all work sold. Deadline for shipped artwork delivery is May 20; hand-delivered work must be brought to the Center for the Arts between 2-7 pm on May 29.
