About This Call
VALA Eastside presents the 2012 Redmond Centennial Collection in partnership with Redmond Town Center, a Redmond Centennial Sanctioned Event. In honor of Redmond's 100th Anniversary, VALA is inviting artists to submit original artwork that commemorates Redmond's Centennial and the artist's connection to Redmond.
The Centennial Collection is a temporary installation of artwork selected by a jury of local community members and arts professionals. Artwork will be installed at the VALA Gallery sponsored by Redmond Town Center. The installation is scheduled to open on December 1st to coincide with the Redmond Lights celebration and will be up for approximately 2 months. The top three submissions as selected by the jury will receive juror awards and be prominently displayed in the Gallery.
Submission Guidelines: 2D or 3D works are welcome. Artists submitting work should have a connection to Redmond, whether living, working, or another connection. Artists may submit a single finished piece for installation or submit a sample of existing work that represents what they will be creating. All artwork for installation must be ready by November 15th. Entry fee is $15.00. Submit 1-5 images. Important dates: October 1 Application Deadline, October 22-26 Jury, November 2 Acceptance Notifications, November 16-18 Artwork Delivery, November 19-30 Artwork Installation, December 1 Collection Opens to Public, January TBD Artwork De-installation and Pickup.
