About This Call
PUNCH Gallery presents an international juried exhibition taking place November 1 - December 15, 2012. Located in the Pioneer Square area of downtown Seattle, the gallery provides an opportunity to gain exposure within the Northwest regional art scene.
Artists from any country may submit work in any medium, including traditional media, crafts, experimental genres, video, sound, or installation. Members of PUNCH are not eligible to enter. Each artist may submit up to 12 entries total, with video and audio entries each limited to a maximum of six entries. Work must be able to fit through the gallery's front door (81"x40"). Complicated installation procedures may require the artist to assist with installation.
Entry fees are $15 for the first image or media file and $5 for each additional image or media file. The juror is Scott Lawrimore, Deputy Director of Collections and Exhibitions at the Frye Art Museum. Cash awards will be distributed at the juror's discretion; the previous juried exhibition presented cash awards totaling $1,500 plus return shipping for accepted artists. Award winners receive Championship Trophies, and all accepted artists receive a PUNCH Award Medal. Entrants are frequently offered additional exhibition opportunities curated by PUNCH members or staff. PUNCH retains a 30% commission on all artwork sales. The artist is responsible for shipping expenses to the gallery; PUNCH covers return shipping. It is the artist's responsibility to carry insurance for works in the exhibition. Notification of acceptance will be sent via email by October 8, with accepted work due by October 26.
