2012 Public Art Network Year in Review

Americans for the Arts Public Art Network (PAN) announces the Call for Submissions for the 2012 Year in Review. Submitted public art projects will be reviewed and selected by jury panel members Jean Greer, Daniel Mihalyo, and Celia Munoz. Submitted public art projects must have been completed in calendar year 2011.

Since 2000, the Public Art Network Year in Review has annually recognized outstanding public art projects through an open call submission and juror selection process. The Year in Review program is the only national award that specifically recognizes public art projects. Both temporary and permanent public art is eligible.

Projects selected by the jurors will be presented at the national Americans for the Arts Public Art Preconference in San Antonio, June 7-8, 2012. Applicants may submit multiple projects completed in calendar year 2011. Each application must include exactly six digital images of the completed public art project (one image per jpeg file), a project description of no more than 300 words, and artist(s) and project information including artist name(s), commissioning and funding entities, project title, location, materials, budget, and names of collaborators. Video submissions may also be accepted. There is no fee to apply. Applicants may submit up to 20 projects using one CaFE profile. All materials must be submitted in digital format through CaFE at http://www.callforentry.org/. Submission opens March 9, 2012 and closes April 18, 2012 at midnight Mountain Time.
