About This Call

The 2012 Pacific States Biennial National Print Exhibition is held at the University of Hawaii at Hilo, Campus Center Gallery, with the exhibition running from December 3, 2012 through April 8, 2013. The juror is Karen Kunc, Cather Professor of Art at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. Kunc's recognitions include the 2007 Printmaker Emeritus Award from the Southern Graphics International, a Fulbright Scholar award to Finland, and 2 National Endowment for the Arts Fellowships. She has taught workshops around the world and served as a visiting artist to over 100 institutions. During a sabbatical in spring 2011, Kunc was artist in residence at the Robert Blackburn Printmaking Workshop in New York and the Venice Printmaking Studio in Italy.

Awards of $3,000 are available for purchase awards. Juror's award selections are invited to participate in the annual international or national invitational exhibition at the University of Hawaii at Hilo. Eligibility is open to all artists 18 years or older presently residing in the United States and territories. The entry fee is $30.00. Applicants must submit 1-2 images. Entry deadline is October 1, 2013 at 11:59 p.m. MDT. Email notification will be sent November 1, 2012, with accepted work due December 3, 2012.
