2012 Art for the View Exhibit

Art for the View at Sunnyview Rehabilitation Hospital is an annual art exhibit that began in 1999 to celebrate creativity and vision and provide a professional juried exhibition opportunity to artists with disabilities. The exhibition is open to all living artists, regardless of experience or formal training, who has or has had a disability. All work for consideration must have been created after the onset of disability.

There are no entry fees. Each artist should submit a maximum of five digital images. Eligible formats include paintings, drawings, digital art, fiber art, photographs, and sculpture. All artworks must have been completed within the last five years and cannot exceed 48" in length, width, or depth. All artwork submitted must be original or numbered fine art prints in limited editions of 50 or less. Disabilities will not be taken into consideration during judging.

Deadline for submission is April 16, 2012. Accepted and non-accepted artists will be notified by May 6, 2012. Accepted artworks must be received by August 7, 2012. The exhibition runs October 1-26, 2012. Each accepted artist is responsible for shipping artwork insured and prepaid. The exhibition sponsor will assume responsibility for return shipment. In the event of a sale, the artist will be paid the listed price less 25%. A consignment agreement will be included with notification of accepted artwork.
