2012 Art aRound Town in Carbondale, Colorado

Art aRound Town seeks twelve guest outdoor sculptures to be installed on Main Street in Carbondale on May 28, 2012. Selected artists will receive a $500 honorarium to defray travel costs, be offered home hospitality in the community, be guests of honor at a community cocktail event, and will have the opportunity to sell their work during the display period. Work must be safe for pedestrians and easy to maintain. All pieces will be free-standing outdoor sculptures attached to provided substantial concrete pedestals and should be appropriate scale for street display. No painting, photos, or similar two-dimensional work.

Submissions must include one proposal image of the piece being submitted for display and four additional images showing other examples of the artist's work, for a total of five images. The deadline for entries is February 29, 2012. Notification of selections will be done approximately by mid-March. There are no predispositions toward particular styles or materials.
