2011 Sculpture on Loan Program

The City of Greeley is accepting artist entries for the 15th Annual Sculpture on Loan Program. The program is open to professional and amateur artists of all backgrounds. Each artist may enter up to three works. Judging is based on the originality of the piece, its durability and suitability for outdoors, and safety for the public. It is recommended that artwork be more than three feet in height. Work samples should include 1-3 images.

Initiated in 1995 by the Greeley Art Commission, the Sculpture on Loan Program places art on display for one year in public areas and community parks throughout the Greeley area, which has a viewing population of nearly 100,000. Currently, twelve spaces are available to display outdoor sculpture near downtown Greeley businesses. Each year, with citizen input, the City purchases one or more sculptures to be added to the permanent art collection.

A statement about the inspiration for the artwork or other interesting information must be included for the brochure.
