About This Call
Americans for the Arts Public Art Network (PAN), in partnership with the Western States Arts Federation (WESTAF), announces a call for submissions for the 2008 Year in Review. Submitted public art projects will be reviewed and selected by Ted Landsmark, President of the Boston Architectural College, and artist Jody Pinto.
Projects selected by the reviewers will be presented at the annual national Americans for the Arts conference "American Evolution: Arts in the New Civic Life" as part of the public art track, held in Philadelphia, June 20-22, 2008. Each year, Year in Review highlights innovative and exemplary examples of public art completed in the previous year. The Year in Review projects are compiled on CD and provide a planning tool for communities developing and advocating for public art programs and projects.
Submitted public art projects must have been completed in calendar year 2007. Each application must include six digital images of the completed public art project, a project description (no more than 300 words), artist name(s), commissioning agency, project title, location, materials, budget, and completion date. Applicants must submit a separate application for each project via CaFÉ at callforentry.org. No slides or hard copy materials will be accepted. The Public Art Network encourages commissioning agencies and/or artists to submit no more than 4 projects. For questions, contact [email protected].
